Sarah Rasmussen MAc, Dipl. Ac., CD(DONA)

Sarah Rasmussen holds a bachelor of science from Michigan State University (2002). She further went on to complete a Master’s in Acupuncture from the New England School of Acupuncture (2009), the first acupuncture school founded in the United States. She is a nationally board certified acupuncturist (NCCAOM) as well as being certified in Acupuncture detoxification (NADA), auriculotherapy, and clean needle technique (CCAOM).

She completed over 600 hours of clinical training, treating patients in a variety of healthcare settings in the Boston area including: Dimock Community Health Center, Pathways to Wellness, & Cambridge Health Alliance: Family Medicine Center. She uses both Chinese and Japanese styles of treatment as well as other adjunctive therapies, specializing in pain management, women’s health, and pediatrics.

Sarah is also a birth doula certified through DONA International. She has a passion for working with pregnant women and incorporating her knowledge of Chinese medicine into her doula practice. Sarah lives in Traverse City with her husband, Shaun, their daughter, Tess and son, Cash.
